2023-24 CHS ONLINE REGISTRATION INFORMATION

 

THIS REGISTRATION INFORMATION IS FOR CHS STUDENTS ONLY!

 

ONLINE REGISTRATION LINKS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!

 

Canton ISD Goes Paperless! Beginning the 2023-24 school year, Canton ISD will implement a paper-free student registration process. Parents/guardians will continue to use the ParentPortal System for the initial student enrollment and have online access for all CAMPUS FORMS.

 

CHS Online Registration will open July 14, 2023.

 

If you do not have internet or computer access, you may complete the online registration process at the Canton Administration Office located at 1045 South Buffalo, Canton at the following dates and times (the campuses will not have computers available to complete online registration):

  •      July 17 – 27 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday
  •      July 31 – August 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday

 

If your child is a CHS student, there will be a four-step process for enrolling your student:

 

STEP 1: ParentPortal Registration - Access the CHS website at hs.cantonisd.net. Under Parent/Registration there will be a link titled ASCENDER ParentPortal Link for Parents/Guardians.

 
A. Returning Student With an Account & Knows Username and Password: If you have an account and you know your username and password, login and proceed with registration.
 
B. Returning Student Without an Account: If you do not have an existing account, you will need to create one. When setting up your account, make sure that the email address that you use to create the account matches the email that you provide in the contact information. Contact Stacie Wilkerson at 903-567-4179 or by email at [email protected] if you need assistance.
 
C. Returning Student Without an Account in Need of Portal ID: For a returning student who does not already have a ParentPortal account, you will need to contact Stacie Wilkerson at 903-567-4179 for a Portal ID number so that you can link your child to the ParentPortal account and proceed with registration (DO NOT PROCEED AS A NEW STUDENT).
 
D. Forgot Username and or Password: If you have an account and have forgotten your username or password, you may click on the “Forgot Password” (you can answer your security question or have it send you an email to reset your password) or “Forgot Username” (provide your email to reset your username). E. New Student Without an Account: New to the District students will need to click on New Student Enrollment when the login page to ParentPortal is accessed. When setting up your account, make sure that the email address that you use to create the account matches the email that you provide in the contact information. UPLOAD PROOF OF RESIDENCE IN PARENTPORTAL – As part of the enrollment process, CISD requires a yearly updated proof of residence on file to ensure the student resides in the District. For the 2023-24 school year, parents/guardians will be required to upload their proof of residence in ParentPortal. You may take a picture of your utility bill or upload a PDF file into ParentPortal.
 
CISD will take the following proof of residence form
1. Utility Bil
A. Electrict
B. Water
C . Monthly Natural Gas Bil
All bills must be in the parent/guardian name and the residing address as the “Service Address” no more than 30 days old at the time of in-person registration (NO LEASE AGREEMENTS  WILL BE ACCEPTED).
2.  If the family is living with someone or lives in a house that utilities are not in the parents/guardian name but the address matches where the student resides, contact the administration office at 903-567- 4179 for further information.
 

STEP 2: Campus Registration Forms for Parents/Guardians - Access the CHS website at hs.cantonisd.net. Under Parent/Registration there will be a link titled Campus Registration Forms for Parents/Guardians. These required forms are in addition to the ParentPortal forms.

 

STEP 3: Campus Registration Forms for Students (must be completed by the student) - Access the CHS website at hs.cantonisd.net. Under Parent/Registration there will be a link titled Campus Registration Forms for Students. The student will need to complete and sign electronic the required campus forms.

 

STEP 4: In-Person Registration - During this time, the campus will provide class schedules, issue parking passes, issue yearbooks, and verify proof of residence. If you were unable to upload your proof of residence, please bring the documentation during In-Person Registration.

 Returning Students:

August 2, 2023 - 7:00 am. To 6:00 p.m.

August 3, 2023 - 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

New Students:   

August 4, 2023 - 8: 00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.

 

 

New to the District Registration Paperwork Requirements

 

Listed below are the required registration documents that will need to be turned in to the front office before your child/children's registration is complete.

  1. Proof of Residency If you were unable to attach a copy in ParentPortal (electric, water, and gas bill with parent/legal guardian name and residing address dated not more than 30 days out)  
  2. Official copy of a birth certificate
  3. Copy of student's Social Security card
  4. Copy of Parent/Guardian Drivers License
  5. Current shot record
