English Language Arts

Welcome to the Canton High School English Language Arts page! Here at CHS, our expectations are high. Therefore, we offer a variety of rigorous courses that range from 9th to 12th grade. Our students are exposed to both fiction and non-fiction forms of literature, including essays, letters, diaries, journals, short stories, poetry, sermons, textbooks, maps, speeches, newspapers, novels, and electronic media. In addition, they are learning the importance of strong writing skills and putting those skills to use on a daily basis. These courses are designed to prepare our students for college, trade school, and/or careers that they will pursue post-graduation. We are working diligently to mold our students into educated citizens, as English is a part of our daily lives no matter which path we choose!
