About Me!

Hello!  My name is Mandie West and this is my 5th year at Canton ISD.  I am starting my 20th year teaching and coaching in 2026-27.  Here in Canton I teach BIM and BMF.  I also coach a variety of sports at the JH and HS level.  I have two daughters who attend Canton High School and Canton Junior High and my husband of 18 years also teaches and coaches at the HS campus.

 

I am a graduate of Tarleton State University where I was a college athlete and received a B.S. in Sports Science and a M.ED in Kinesiology. I recently went back to school to Lamar University to get a second masters degree in Instructional Leadership.  I have worked in three different school districts over my 19 years in education and coached a variety of sports at all levels.  My oldest daughter starts 9th grade this year and my youngest daughter 6th.  It is a big year for the West family!! We can't wait to start our 5th year at Canton ISD!
