About me.....

Hello! 

My name is Kim Burch.  I am currently a Family & Consumer Science teacher for Canton High School. This is my 4th year to be in the classroom,  previously I was the High School Registrar.   

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Family Consumer Science, with an emphasis on Fashion Design. 

Before working for the school district, my career experience was in Retail Management.  I worked for Dillard's Department Stores for 10 years. I held many positions while employed  by  Dillard's, from a Department Manager to the Men's Sportswear Buyer.   I was also employed by Neiman Marcus, Northpark for 12 years as commissioned sales associate and also on the Operation Managers assistant team. 

I enjoy the Hospitality Industry, I work part-time for an upscale  catering company in Dallas, Texas, this allows me to stay up to date on the latest food and serving trends.  As well as gives me an opportunity to meet interesting people, such as President George Bush, Jerry Jones, Lamar Hunt, and Dirk Nowitzki just to name a few.
